1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account on HalalZawaj (www.halazawaj.com), you agree to these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and HalalZawaj Ltd.
2. Eligibility
To use HalalZawaj you must:Be at least 18 years of ageBe a Muslim seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic principlesBe legally free to marry (not currently married unless seeking a second marriage in accordance with Islamic law)Have sincere marriage intentions — this platform is not for casual dating, entertainment, or any other purposeNot have been previously banned from HalalZawaj for any reason
3. Account Registration
When you register you agree to:Provide accurate and truthful information about yourselfUse your real name and genuine photosKeep your account information up to dateKeep your password confidentialNot share your account with anyone elseNotify us immediately at hello@halalzawaj.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use HalalZawaj only for its intended purpose — finding a spouse through halal means. You must NOT:Post false, misleading, or inaccurate information on your profileUse another person's photos or identitySend inappropriate, harassing, or offensive messagesShare explicit, sexual, or immodest content of any kindShare your phone number, email address, or social media details in early conversations (for your own safety)Use the platform to promote any business, service, or productAttempt to extract other members' personal contact information through deceptive meansCreate multiple accountsUse automated bots or scripts to interact with the platformAttempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the platform in any wayUse HalalZawaj for any purpose contrary to Islamic values and principles
5. Profile Content
Your profile must:Show only photos of yourself — no group photos as your main photoContain accurate information about your background, faith, and intentionsBe modest and appropriate in both photos and languageNot include contact information (email, phone, social media) in your bioWe reserve the right to remove any profile content that violates these terms without notice.
6. Messaging and Communication
All communication on HalalZawaj must be:Respectful and purposeful — this is a marriage platform, not a chat appFree from inappropriate language, sexual content, or harassmentHonest — misrepresenting yourself in messages is grounds for immediate account terminationWe may monitor messages for safety and policy compliance. Messages containing phone numbers, email addresses, or social media handles may be flagged by our automated system for your protection.
7. Wali Feature
The wali CC feature is a voluntary service that allows your guardian to receive copies of your messages. By enabling this feature:You confirm you have your wali's consent to share their contact details with usYou understand your wali will receive copies of all messages in enabled conversationsYou accept that HalalZawaj is not responsible for any family discussions arising from wali notifications
8. Subscription Plans and Payments
Free plan: Available to all registered members at no cost. Paid plans (Standard and Premium): Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis Payments are processed securely by Stripe Prices are displayed in GBP and may vary by region You can cancel at any time — access continues until end of current billing period No refunds are given for partial months except within 48 hours of first payment Price changes: We will give at least 30 days notice before any price increases.
9. Cancellation and Account Deletion
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Account deletion: You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. All your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you: Violate any of these Terms of Service Provide false information Harass or threaten other members Attempt to misuse or damage the platform Are found to have insincere or non-marriage intentions
10. Moderation and Reporting
HalalZawaj has a zero-tolerance policy for: Harassment, threats, or abusive behaviour Fake profiles or identity fraud Sexual or inappropriate content Scams or financial exploitation of members We encourage all members to report suspicious behaviour using the "Report this profile" button. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. We reserve the right to remove any content, suspend any account, or ban any member who violates these terms, without prior notice and without refund.
11. Disclaimers
HalalZawaj is a platform that facilitates connections between members. We do not: Guarantee that you will find a spouse through our platform Verify every claim made in member profiles (beyond our standard verification process) Take responsibility for the actions or conduct of any member Guarantee the accuracy of profile information provided by members Use of HalalZawaj is at your own discretion and risk. Always exercise caution and good judgment when communicating with other members.
12. Safety Disclaimer
While we take extensive measures to ensure member safety, HalalZawaj strongly advises: Never share your home address, workplace, or financial information with someone you have not met in person Always meet for the first time in a public place with a mahram present Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, report it and cease communication Involve your wali or family from the earliest stages
13. Intellectual Property
All content on HalalZawaj — including the name, logo, design, text, and code — is owned by HalalZawaj Ltd and protected by copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of our platform without written permission. You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, bio text). By uploading content you grant HalalZawaj a licence to display it to other members for the purpose of operating the platform.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HalalZawaj Ltd shall not be liable for: Any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform Any conduct of other members on or off the platform Any technical errors, downtime, or data loss Any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
15. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use of HalalZawaj after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
